Cars went south, 5 were recent restorations in full or partial mode and of those 5: 4 took awards at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance 2013.  We all enjoyed the ride and very much appreciate all those who work so hard to make this one of the years great car events for lovers of fine machinery of every variety.

911 RS

Bob’ 911 RS awaits the judges review, Bill’s Ghibli can be seen in the background.  This Porsche had quite a career and is among an absolutely exceptional field of historically significant 911s at Amelia 2013. …Well done Bill Warner and all involved!!

Lamborghini 400GT

Show day, early AM.  ARI’s Charlie Webb attends to Peter’s superb Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 on exhibit in the presence of it’s stable mate.  This is a rare occurrence; we are assisting display of a car we can be sure is 100% as original in all respects.  Peter bought it new and can attest to each nut, bolt and idiosyncrasy.   The other  superb Lamborghini,  is a 350GT 2+2 and the differences are best viewed from the rear.  This event rightfully avoids exhibiting more than one example of identical cars unless in some special  featured class.
