Just one short week prior to The Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, most of the at our establishment are in “concours prep” mode to have all our charges at their best and be ready to assist exhibiting and all helping orchestrate the Greenwich event as we have for so many years past….but not Nigel! Nope, “Nige” is loading Andrew Bennenson’s beautiful Ferrari 330 GTC and Harvey Siegel’s superb 1954 Curtis roadster into one of our 5th wheel trailers for the trip to Newport. Newport is really a great event and makes a memorable “double header” for those who want to get their fine machinery come late spring for some fun. Casual, elegant, situated in a marvelously beautiful and historically significant environment second to none, Newport is not to be missed. There on that peninsula in the great Penobscot Bay are to be found a great collection of fine machines exhibited for all to enjoy.
The pictures tell the story with Harvey and Sharon Siegel’s Curtis garnering a trophy to remember their weekend by. The social activities surrounding the weekend and this event’s ambience are absolutely first rate. We all owe a debt of gratitude to event chairman Mark Hurwitz and all on the event organization front who do such a terrific job in Newport each spring. Thanks and we look forward to 2010.
