Radner Hunt Concour d’Elegance, September 12 & 13^th, 2009

While a complement of Automotive Restorations Inc. staff are assisting with operations at The Fairfield County Concours, Nigel Griffen is en route to Malvern, Pennsylvania for the Radner Hunt Concours d’Elegance event. A Dedicated and Savvy group of organizers and promoters have made this an outstanding venue. This weekend is awash with superb machinery and interesting activities.

In the trailer are Michael Schwartz’s Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato (TZ1) and his historically signifigant and striking 1948 Cisitalia Nuvolari Spyder. The Alfa does double duty completing the tour on Saturday after which Nigel gets in al tidied up for exhibit is Sunday’s concour. Come event day both cars are looking just as they should among a superb field of entrants. We are all pleased to find Michael’s Cisitalia doubly awarded with 1^st place and “The Historic Race Car Award” and the “Best Sporting Marque of the Show” trophy in Sunday’s prize giving. Fresh from restoration in our shop and equally beautiful Michael’s TZ garners a “Closed Sports Car Radner Award” to close a very ratifying day of automotive entertainment. A fitting end for a great weekend as we load up that long 5^th wheel trailer for the ride back to Connecticut.
