Additional Details

In 1936 the Oldsmobile Series F had only minor styling changes. These changes consisted of raising the height of the headlights slightly and moving the position of the interior door handles. The “L” head six cylinder engine displaced 213 cu ins and produced 90 HP. Wheelbase was 115” and the overall length was 189”. The model was produced in 7 different variants: Convertible, Business Coupe, Sport coupe, 2 and 4 door sedans and 2 and 4 door touring sedans. Total production of “F” series for 1936 was 158,291, which was a considerable portion of Oldsmobile total sales.

Today there are few of these good looking 3 window coupes that have been preserved. They have either fallen victim to be turned into hot rods or they have been neglected and have suffered from the ravages of time and the elements and been abandoned.

The car offered here does not fall into either category. This car has seen single family ownership since it was new. Not only has the car been well treated throughout its life but in the past three years it has been extensively rebuilt to original specification by a top notch restoration facility. In total, nearly $40K has been spent on making sure that all the major systems of the car have been put into good working order. The car now runs well and is reliable transport for its owner. All service records are available for inspection.

Since the owner has completed his project he is now ready to move into a newer vehicle leaving this much admired classic to be passed to a new owner. The new owner will doubtless receive smiles and waves wherever the car is taken. In our showroom and ready for test drive, inspection and sale.
