Founded in 1958 by the Walklett Bros Ginetta's aim was to offer a simple lightweight alternative to the Chapman designed Lotus 7, which was a strong contender in club racing and beyond. In 1960 Ginetta introduced the G4 model which featured a round tube chassis and a 1300 cc Ford 105E engine. The roundtube spaceframe had a central body section bonded on complete with floor, footwells and bulkheads. The one piece front end flipping forward to expose the engine bay. Front suspension consisted of double wishbones and coil springs. The rear suspension featured a live rear axle with trailing arms and an “A” frame with coils.
The car offered here is in pristine condition and has been professionally maintained by its owner.
