The Austin-Healey 3000 MK 111 was introduced in 1963 and remained in production until the end of 1967 when the production of Austin-Healey ceased. Classified as a BJ8, the new model was the most powerful and luxurious of the big Healeys, with a walnut veneer dash, wind-up windows and a 2.9 liter in-line 6 cylinder engine producing 150 horse power. Improvements to the engine included a new camshaft and valve springs, twin SU carburetors along with a newly designed exhaust system. Servo-assisted brakes were now standard. Only the 2+2 seat versions were available at this time.
This Austin-Healey MK 111 has gone through a complete restoration by one fastidious artisan owner. The car is now in better condition than when it came off the assembly line in the UK. Everything from the drive train to the body and finally to the interior has been restored.
The car is equipped with the most important options, overdrive, leather seats, stainless exhaust system, and tonneau cover . The car is finished in Colorado Red with beige leather seating. Convertible top and tonneau cover are black. Soft top boot cover matches the interior.
Here is a great opportunity to own one of these iconic British sports cars , which is ready to go and offers great top down driving without breaking the bank! Has to be one of the best BJ8"s offered for sale.
