The Aston Martin DB7 is a grand tourer which was produced by Aston Martin from 1994 to 2004. This model was manufactured in both coupe and convertible versions. The car debuted in 1993 and was the work of designer Ian Callum. It was built as a six cylinder “entry level” model below the hand built V8 Virage, introduced a few years earlier. DB7 models totaled the highest production of Aston Martins with more than 7000 being built. In 1999 the more powerful DB7 V12 was introduced at the Geneva show. Its 5.9 litre engine with 4 valves per cylinder made 420 bhp and 400 lb ft of torque. It was available with a Tremec six speed manual or a five speed ZF automatic.
