“Top This” he said as he dropped off a beautifully restored Austin Healey 3000 nearing the end of a long and painstaking restoration. Well, indeed we did. Yes it was only the top we custom made and fitted for Peter, but we are very pleased to be a part of his project. We’ve seen the finished car at a show or two and are delighted to commend Peter for a job well done.
Quite an Austin Healy to savor, Peter’s Healey has indeed come out perfectly. It’s the guys like Peter who have been the mainstay of this hobby and our living therein for decades. We do frame off award winning restorations regularly, but the bulk of our time is spent helping people who are involved in the project on a very proactive level. This hobby lets us all enjoy the hands on side at whatever levels suits each….and then fun of a classic drive while producing restorations that we can all be proud to be a part of.
In this case we did not do much, but we did help Peter out a bit toward the end. We were delighted to see the project so nicely illustrated when he graciously took the time to let us know it was DONE AT LAST, by sending us a copy of this article.
Great car, well done and thank you for including us in your project.
