SVRA Indy, VRS Goes Back To The Brickyard

Tuesday, June 12th; James and Tim Loaded up Jim Lenehan's Porsche 914-6 and Jim Montana’s Swift S2000 and headed for the Brickyard.  Indianapolis, Indiana was the place to be for those passionate about vintage racing. Gasoline alley was soon alive with exhaust notes to savor!!

Jim looked at home on track in his trusty VRS prepared Porsche 914-6. After some consultation with Tim in the pit lane, both car and driver wouldn't miss a beat all weekend long. Jim piloted the 914-6 into the winners circle again and make quick work of the customary bottle of cold milk.  It was a hot one pushing those edges in summer heat. Well done Mr. Lenehan & thanks for making us look so good!!!

This Swift S2000 went well with Mr. Montana on track and up to speed all weekend long . Driving highlighted by a 1st in class for Saturday’s group 5, 7 & 11 feature race. During a hard weekend of competition, it's always important to stay well fed. Thankfully James took charge grilling up a storm for Saturday lunch.

Jim Lenehan showed his mettle with a full weekend of expert driving, resulting in podiums in both spring races and a 2nd in class podium for the enduro! Cars worked, drivers worked, VRD crew worked (a little) and a good time was had by all.

Spoils of victory; Indiana Style – Milk!
