When Mercedes introduced the W111 body design at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1960 it was a ground breaking change from the company’s previous designs These W111’s were sleeker and more comfortable cars than their predecessors with better performance and handling. They were a big hit then, and are still extremely popular today with collectors and enthusiasts alike. We have known this lovely example for over 20 years and it’s a great one. Finished in Ivory with a red leather interior, it is an exceptionally original car. It has been painted once, the front seats were recovered many years ago, otherwise it is highly original throughout. It has benefited from a recent comprehensive service by Mercedes specialists and our recent road test confirms that this car is ready right now for touring in style.
