At Automotive Restorations, Inc., we are a well-established restoration facility that has built its reputation on providing our clients with nothing but the best. Over the last 40 years, we've grown and expanded our facility and staff to employ over 30 enthusiastic craftspeople in a creative and positive work environment.

As our shop continues to grow, we are looking for motivated, highly-skilled, intelligent technicians, fabricators, upholsterers, and body restoration specialists to join our team. We service and restore classic cars from every era, from vintage racers and weekend warriors to concours-winners and museum pieces. This job involves experience working on classic cars from various manufacturers, including, but not limited to, Mercedes, Jaguar, Ferrari, Porsche, GM, Ford, Chrysler, and countless now-defunct marques. The ideal candidate for this position will be a well-organized, responsible individual who enjoys learning new skills and takes instruction well. We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

  • Restoration Mechanic

  • Body Technician / Detailer

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Initial evaluation and diagnosis to assist in generating project plans

  • Hands-on restoration on a wide variety of collector cars

  • Understanding and education on vehicle systems along with the technologies that created them

  • Respect for the historical, mechanical, and cosmetic integrity of clients' vehicles 

  • The ability to accurately and consistently record job hours and tasks performed

  • Testing and refining projects to ensure quality and reliability 

  • The professional representation of our establishment at all times

  • The capability of performing tasks with precision and mindfulness to meet the needs of our clients 

Job requirements:

  • Professional experience as an automotive technician or specialist 

  • A sound theoretical understanding of the functionality and operation of all aspects of collector vehicles, including engines, transmissions, differential gearing, electrical systems, suspension, and brake systems

  • Punctuality and dependability 

  • Verbal and written communication skills 

  • Time awareness, the ability to set and meet goals, deadline management 

  • Personal tool inventory and knowledge of proper use 

  • Enthusiasm and interest in learning to expand your career: this position will pose challenges and opportunities daily, the ability to think quickly and learn as you go is an invaluable asset 

  • Professional work habits including maintaining a clean and organized work area

  • Respect for the rarity, quality, value of our clients' vehicles
