1941 was a pivotal year for Ford. It was the last year of building civilian cars and trucks before they shifted all production to military vehicles for the war effort. Among Ford aficionados, the grill and body design of the ’41 Ford Pickup was by far the most desirable of the pre-War trucks, way more attractive than the utilitarian look of the prior years. Designer Bob Gregorie’s streamlined look for the 1939-1941 pickups has become truly iconic over the decades. The special truck we are pleased to offer here belongs to a very long time friend of deGarmo Ltd., one of the most revered vintage automobile experts in the country and someone who is a true perfectionist when it comes to having his vehicles run and drive just so… Mr. Alex Dearborn, founder of Dearborn Automobile in Topsfield, MA. This great truck has been his run around cool car at his home in Maine, but it’s also cosmetically super clean, evidenced by a First In Class win and the prestigious Misslewood Concours d’Elegance in 2020. It was body off restored in 2010 to a very high standard, and still shows beautifully to this day.

There have been some mild upgrades added for safety and functionality: seat belts have been installed as have directional signals, an electric radiator fan, LED lighting, and best of all the truck is fitted with a later flathead V8 adding over 20 much needed horsepower. This truck is really a joy to drive. Finished in Ford Black with a black interior, this is a well sorted, turn key truck that, for the next custodian,  can be a daily driver or a trophy winner, or both!

Offered at $36,000 USD
