Oh, if cars could talk, what a story this one would tell! This all original 1950 Ford Woodie Wagon lived the majority of its charmed life in northern Vermont under the ownership of Mary Jane and Bill Dexter. From 1959 until it was sold after Bill’s death in 2001, they lovingly cared for it, showed it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their service records are still with the car and show regular and careful maintenance throughout their 42 year stewardship. World renowned Woodie collector Nick Alexander owned it after the Dexters, and while in his collection the car was shown at the prestigious Ford V8 Club of America Concours where it was awarded the coveted “Rouge” Award for originality. (Note the photo below of the car while in Nick’s collection in Los Angeles) Still all original, with the exception of the original wood that was refinished in Nick Alexander’s restoration shop, the paint and interior are untouched from new. It comes with a thick history file including all of Bill Dexter’s records as well as the current owner’s detailed service receipts. It features an optional radio, heater and overdrive unit. Included as well are the original jack and tool bag, the original owner’s manual and the original 1950 leather key fob from Dahl Motors. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the best original Woodie Wagons in existence.
